Assistant Manager, Gordon Young has been appointed Assistant Head Coach of the Latvian National Team.
Gordon, who will combine the role with his current job at The Falkirk Stadium, will assist former Hibernian, Dundee United and Kilmarnock manager, Mixu Paatelainen. The pair previously worked together at Tannadice.
Latvia last night won the Baltic Cup, the oldest football tournament for national teams in Europe, following a 1-1 draw with Lithuania.
Manager, Paul Hartley, commented: “I’d firstly like to congratulate Gordon on being appointed to his new role.
“He is a fantastic coach who has made a great impact around the club since joining us in January.
“I am comfortable with the way in which the two roles will combine across our season and wish both he and Mixu every success.”
