NEWS

The Bairns welcome Greenock Morton to The Falkirk Stadium tomorrow afternoon (Saturday) for a crucial match in the Ladbrokes Championship. Ray McKinnon’s men have a chance to jump to 8th in the table with a victory and are looking to continue an unbeaten league run that now stretches to four matches.

Saturday’s match kicks off at 3:00pm with turnstiles open from 2:00pm.

RAY McKINNON’S PRE MATCH THOUGHTS

On Saturday’s match with Greenock Morton…

“I’m looking forward to Saturday just as much as I would any other. It’s just another game, we really want to pick up our first home win of the season and the three points.”

On last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Alloa Athletic…

“We caused our own problems last weekend. We had a couple of individual mistakes and they cost us. We need to rectify them for this weekend. Lots of wee things went wrong so I am not going to point the finger at anyone because it is a collective team. We need to pick ourselves up and go again.”

On recent form…

“The last six games we have been unbelievably competitive compared to the start of the season. There’s more teams now in the battle at the bottom and I believe there are more than just the three. Morton and Dunfermline aren’t too far away, I think we have done great considering we were on three points.

“We looked like we were down and out but now we are right in with the pack. From now until the end of the season there will be a lot of teams looking over their shoulder and we just need to continue looking up.”

On looking up…

“We need to be looking at the positives, we are third in the form table of the league over the last six games. That’s a positive and we need to maintain that because maybe if we win on Saturday we’ll become second in that table. We’re scoring goals now too which is another positive. We need to keep focused and keep grinding out results.”
