Falkirk FC are delighted to announce a new partnership with STATSports as the official analytics partner of the club.

STATSports will bring its Apex device to Falkirk, which will be used to record the performance of each player, both during training and in games, and provide concrete analysis in real time to the training staff.

STATSports brand new ‘Apex’ is the most advanced athlete performance-tracking device ever released. It integrates the latest technologies available to create the most powerful and accurate product of its type on the market. This same device was used by the Brazilian National Team during the World Cup in Russia and is used by various other names in the world of football, from Manchester City to Juventus.

Richard Byrne, Head of Business Development, said: “STATSports are delighted to announce our new partnership with Scottish Championship side Falkirk F.C.

“STATSports will provide Graeme Henderson and his staff with our Apex Team Series, the world’s most advanced player tracking system, to provide them with in-depth insights into each players performance in training and on match day. It is an exciting partnership and we look forward to playing our part in helping the team to further on-field successes in the near future.”

The equipment, which is already being used by the Falkirk players, measures and analyses their physical qualities, bringing together a package of data; such as distance travelled, speed, acceleration and insights into the player’s load, as well as the level of fatigue and risk of injury to the player. Apex has the capability to calculate over 50 metrics in real time on the device. This capability allows for the most precise live metric data available, data that accurately matches the post-session download.

Graeme Henderson, Head of Performance, Falkirk FC, commented: “The addition of STATSports as our GPS supplier will provide a wide array of benefits over the remainder of the season and beyond. The substantial levels of data are an essential tool in modern day football which allows the monitoring of training load, as well as a detailed analysis of match performance.

“The quality of data provided and the speed at which we can access this helps to provide further information to the manager which assists in decision making. Working with the world leader of GPS technology is further evidence of moving forward and striving to achieve the best performance possible both on and off the pitch.”
