Falkirk FC are delighted to welcome The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as our Match Sponsors for tomorrow’s game against Ayr United.

As match sponsor and charity partner the charity will be represented by the players wearing JDRF branded t-shirts in the warm up, as well as fifty free tickets which will be distributed to families living with the condition in the central belt area. There will also be an LED board to highlight the sponsorship and the club has offered to host an information event at the stadium over the summer for the charity.

Type 1 diabetes affects 29,800 people across Scotland, including 3,800 under the age of 20. It is a life threatening and lifelong autoimmune condition. JDRF fund research to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes. They provide information for children, adults and parents living with the condition, at all stages from diagnosis and beyond. Internationally JDRF are the world’s leading charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research, working with academia, industry and governments to positively impact the lives of as many people with type 1 diabetes now and in the future.

Members of staff from the Foundation will be in the main stand concourse before the game giving out information leaflets and answering any questions families may have about the charity or diabetes.

Kieran Koszary, Commercial Director at Falkirk, said of the sponsorship: “We are delighted to welcome JDRF as our match sponsors for the fixture tomorrow evening. Over the next 12 months we will be working very closely to raise awareness of the fantastic work they are doing to ultimately find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes and to also support Falkirk based families who have children living with the condition.”
