BACK THE BAIRNS UPDATE

After another good performance and result on Friday evening I am also pleased to say that we have made further progress off the pitch with our work around broadening fan ownership at the club. We have had several meetings over the past few weeks working together with Kenny Jamieson and David White and Kenny and David have provided an update as below.

Over the past six weeks we have had several constructive meetings with members of the Major Shareholders Group (MSG) about plans to widen fan ownership of Falkirk FC and to attract new investment into the club.

We are pleased to say we have made excellent progress towards shaping a future governance model for the club and an outline transition plan towards it, which will aim to introduce fresh ideas and people while maintaining continuity and stability.

Although there is still further detailed work to be done, discussions are continuing to reach a broad understanding with the MSG on the proposed share issue, asset protections and future changes to Articles of Association.

Our next immediate step is to conduct further consultation with pledged Patrons, and then feedback to the club Board, following which we will be able to provide a more detailed update and consult with Supporters.

The intention remains to have the scheme up and running in time to raise funds to supplement next season’s playing budget.
