Falkirk FC is delighted to announce the signing of defender, Gregor Buchanan on a two-year deal.

The 29-year old was signed by Ray McKinnon at Greenock Morton last summer and impressed in his time with the Ton.

Gregor started out in football as a youth player with The Bairns, spending time with junior sides Armadale Thistle and Bathgate Thistle before making his way up the leagues. He has spent time with Dumbarton, Livingston and Saint Mirren in the Scottish Championship, securing a league winners medal from his time in Paisley.

Gregor becomes Ray McKinnon’s second summer signing after Michael Tidser penned a two-year deal earlier today.

Speaking of his latest signing, Ray McKinnon, said: “Gregor is a top defender and I know he will be a great presence to have in our back line next season. He’s a composed player that is experienced both at this level and at the Championship level, so he knows exactly what it takes. He’s a Falkirk boy too, had a season ticket here for many years and understands what this club means to so many people in the local area.”

“Gregor and Michael as well as the boys we have already are a great base for a team and I look forward to building the squad in the days and weeks to come as we head into next season looking to go straight back up.”
