As part of our ongoing partnership with Friends of Chernobyl’s Children (Forth Valley) the club were delighted to welcome Luba Shatksi to The Falkirk Stadium this week.

Luba visited the club three years ago and received a coaching session on our pitch as well as a visit round local landmarks.

The club will be hosting an awareness day for Friends of Chernobyl’s Children Forth Valley in October 2019 and will be working closely with the charity to support them for their next visit in June 2020 when 20 children will be visiting the Forth Valley.

Friends of Chernobyl’s Children works to relieve the suffering of children from the resounding after-effects of the 1986 nuclear disaster, which are still devastating families across poverty-stricken Belarus. For a month each year the children receive recuperative healthcare, English lessons and, most importantly, lots of loving tender care from their UK host families.

Kieran Koszary, Commercial Director, said: “It was an absolute pleasure and an honour to welcome Luba back to the club today.  Having personally visited Belarus on several occasion and witnessing the harrowing effects of Chernobyl, the club will do all we can to support the team at Friends of Chernobyl’s Children over the years ahead and make them a part of the Falkirk Family.”

If anyone would like to support this cause please contact Kieran Koszary at the club. For more information visit –
