MATCH SUMMARY

It was a comfortable evening’s work for Ray McKinnon’s men who secured a 3-0 victory over Brechin City at Glebe Park.

The Bairns were dominant from the first whistle to last with goals from Denny Johnstone, Conor Sammon and Trialist securing the win.

The scoring was opened on 10 minutes with Johnstone heading back across goal from Paul Dixon’s cross, Sammon made sure just before the hour mark as he thumped home from the spot after a foul on Gregor Buchanan. The third and final goal came two minutes from full time courtesy of a superb lob from 25 yards out.

It was an impressive showing from the Bairns with the midfield and Michael Doyle on the right side making particularly strong starts to life in the Navy Blue.
