Falkirk FC and Falkirk Council’s Take The Right Route have once again joined together for the fourth “Kelpies to Kick Off” walking event on Saturday the 14th of September before we play Forfar Athletic.

The walks go from the Falkirk Stadium through the Helix Park and round the Kelpies. The event is open to all age groups and abilities, with both a 2km walk or a 5km walk to pick from. All taking part will receive a goody bag with a drink and snack voucher, great giveaways and a free ticket to our game vs Forfar Athletic which kicks off after the walks.

There will be lots of fantastic pre match family activities and entertainment including HEXAGOAL, the revolutionary way to play and practice football. There will also be face painting and other activities for all the family to take part in.

Places are limited, so make sure you register to take part by visiting kelpiestokickoff4.eventbrite.com, phoning 01324 504950 or emailing transportplanning@falkirk.gov.uk

Falkirk FC Commercial Director, Kieran Koszary, said: “The Kelpies to Kick Off initiative is recognised across Scotland as an outstanding example of a football club and the local authority working together for the greater good of the local community.

Year on year this event has grown, and we will now have over 400 people taking part this year, which is testimony to the success of the event.

“As a club we are continually striving to encourage the fans of the future and families to engage with Falkirk FC and this day provides a perfect avenue for people to come along and get involved with the club and have a fantastic match day experience.

“We look forward to another great day on the 14th September and once again I would like to place on record my thanks to Lynn and Adam and the team from Take The Right route for their ongoing support.”

Take The Right route team member Lynn Slavin added: “It is fantastic to be partnering with Falkirk Football Club for the fourth instalment of Kelpies to Kick Off. The event has been a terrific success the last three years and we are delighted to see it continue to grow.”
