Falkirk FC is delighted to be supporting the Mens Walk to Help – Falkirk Group.
This support group was set up by Deryk Wilson in December 2019 and is designed for men struggling with their Mental Health, be it through stress, anxiety, depression or bereavement. There is an emphasis on walking and talking and breaking down the perceived stigma of mental illness in men.
The club have donated free match tickets as well as pie and hot drink vouchers to those taking part in the walk to the East Fife game.
The group meets on a Tuesday and Wednesday night at 6.45pm at the Dawson Centre car park in Bainsford, with a planned route for the walks posted on the Facebook page (Mens Walk to Health – Falkirk) and Twitter page (@MWTH_Falkirk).
We would like to ask as many supporters as possible to add their names to the Facebook page and follow the Twitter page. This will give as big an audience as possible to the group doing extremely important work in our local community and to help break down the barriers of men’s mental health.
