This Saturday’s match against Montrose is our Official Forth Valley College Day! Hundreds of tickets have been given out with the aim of finding fans of the future and to encourage students to go and watch their local team. The hope is that this will also stimulate friendship and common goals.
The club is also offering match day opportunities for students, both on Saturday and in the future. Media students will also be involved with match day programme design, as well as social media content on Saturday. We hope this will be the first of many such chances and these opportunities will give students the chance to gain real work experience on match days.
This day is only one example of the opportunities for FVC students to get involved with the club and expose themselves to a professional football club environment. It also offers the opportunity for the club to promote themselves and raise awareness among students and staff alike.
Falkirk FC’s Commercial Director Kieran Koszary said, “We are looking forward to welcoming our friends and partners from Forth Valley College to the match on Saturday. The fact we have students supporting our media operations on the day was exactly what we want to achieve with this partnership, and I cannot wait to see how this exciting opportunity develops as we continue working together with the college on numerous exciting and innovative concepts over the years ahead.”
Ellis Wilson, Media Student at FVC, said of the opportunity:
“It’s been great to come along to a well-established club in Scottish Football. The club were extremely open, helpful and have made me feel extremely welcome with the opportunities they have for me. It’s a brilliant chance to express my skills learned at Forth Valley College.”
