Falkirk got back to winning ways with an excellent performance against Peterhead.
The Bairns took the lead only eight minutes in, and it was The Gaffer who opened the scoring! Aidan Connolly was played through by Michael Doyle, and his pass to Lee Miller was calmly dispatched for his first goal since joining the club for a third spell.
Continuous pressure from Falkirk was rewarded when Simon Ferry handballed Aidan Connolly’s free kick in the box. Declan McManus stepped up and made no mistake with the spot kick.
Falkirk came out for the second half keeping up the pressure they maintained in the first. Paul Dixon cracked a sensational effort off the crossbar before McManus got his second of the game. The Bairns top scorer struck a superb, dipping free kick from at least 25 yards out that clipped the inside of the post on the way in, giving The Bairns number nine his 24th goal of the season.
Robbie Mutch had to make a great save down to his left with ten minutes to go for his clean sheet, but it was plain sailing for The Bairns as they picked up the three points.
