VERIFIER LOCAL HERO AWARD

Kieran Koszary and Stuart Comrie from Verifier Security Systems presented Falkirk fan Gillian Laird with our final Local Hero of the Month Award in recognition of her fantastic work during lockdown at both the Emergency Childcare Hub and her ongoing support to the children and parents at Langlees ELCC.

The club received dozens of nominations all of which touched upon Gillian going that extra mile in her workplace and working additional hours to provide a service for children of NHS workers and key workers to attend nursery whilst their parents continued to work. It was also commented that Gillian always has a smile on her face and made sure all her staff did not feel the stress and worry of Covid-19 and that the children continued to engage and explore nursery life in a happy and fun environment.

Kieran Koszary, Commercial Director: “It has been an honour meeting our Local Heroes over the last few months who have all gone above and beyond to help others during the global pandemic.  It has demonstrated the care and compassion of the people of Falkirk and as a club we are delighted to have been able to reward and thank them in some way for their fantastic efforts.  I would like to say well done again to Gillian as well as our previous winners and all those who were nominated.”

We have seen numerous worthwhile candidates who have demonstrated fantastic commitment to the people of Falkirk and beyond. Well done to Gillian for her hardwork and she is an extremely fitting winner of our last award.”
