Next up for The Bairns is a home tie against Peterhead FC
Kick-off is on Saturday the 5th of December at 3.00pm
HEAD TO HEAD
Falkirk welcome today’s visitors with a good record behind them, the last three meetings between the sides have all gone the way of The Bairns with ten goals scored and only one conceded. The last time the two teams played was the 7th of March 2020. Lee Miller netted his first goal since re-joining the club as co-manager and Declan McManus secured the three points with a penalty and a spectacular free kick from thirty yards out.
The last draw between the side’s came on the opening game of the 2019/20 season, where Ray McKinnon’s team drew 0-0 with the Aberdeenshire side in front of an away support of over 800 Falkirk fans. Saturday’s visitors last won against The Bairns back in 2015 when Rory McAllister scored all five goals as Peterhead stunned Falkirk in the Petrofac Training Cup.
FORM GUIDE
The game marks a return to league action for Falkirk after Sunday’s four goal loss to Rangers in the Betfred Cup. The Bairns remain undefeated in the league after winning against Dumbarton last Tuesday, and Lee Miller and David McCracken’s side will look to continue that good form this weekend. Falkirk went top of the league on Tuesday night and, thanks to Cove Ranger’s draw with Airdrieonians, remain top going into the next matchday.
Peterhead have had mixed performances this season and sit seventh in a congested Scottish League One mid-table. The Blue Toon have won two and lost four of their six games so far this season, with an impressive 2-0 win away to Clyde the pick of their league performances this season.
