Next up for Falkirk is a Scottish Cup fixture against Arbroath this weekend.
Kick-off is on Saturday at 3.00pm
HEAD TO HEAD
The Bairns last played Saturday’s hosts last season, when we met in the same competition. After the initial tie ended goalless at Gayfield the replay was brought back to The Falkirk Stadium. Despite multiple good chances for Lee Miller and David McCracken’s side the two teams went in nothing each at half time. The breakthrough came shortly after, with Declan McManus getting the opener just after the break, before Conor Sammon doubled the Falkirk lead and saw us through into a fixture against Hearts in the next round.
FORM GUIDE
The Bairns remain top of the Scottish League One table, despite several disappointing results over the festive period. Last Saturday’s loss to East Fife at Bayview marked a second loss of the season for Falkirk, with Jack Hamilton’s winner cancelling out a Callumn Morrison equaliser.
Abroath sit three points adrift at the bottom of the Scottish Championship this season, although with a better goal difference and a game in hand on second bottom Alloa Athletic. They come into Saturday’s game with one win in their last five, a 2-1 win against Ayr United.
