LOCAL HERO OF THE MONTH – FEBRUARY

Falkirk FC and Verifier are delighted to announce our Local Hero of the Month for February is the Rotary Club of Grangemouth!

The Rotary Club have won this award due to their tremendous efforts fundraising for good causes such as CHAS and our Charity Partners at Strathcarron Hospice!

The last Friday in February marks the Club’s annual Charity Sportsman’s Dinner. Due to being unable to host the almost 250 patrons that would usually attend this event due to COVID 19 the club started a virtual fundraiser in its place, collecting well into five figures for the supported charities.

As they close in on the target of £20,000, we would encourage all fans to support our Local Heroes and help them reach their goal! Every donation made enters a prize draw to win £250.00 paid direct to your bank account. Please follow the link below and donate what you can!

I would like to congratulate the Rotary Club of Grangemouth for winning this month’s award. Their dedication to helping such fantastic causes despite the difficult circumstances is to be commended and has shown the generosity of the local community. I know personally that Strathcarron Hospice will be extremely grateful for all their hard work, this year has made fundraising extremely difficult and this money will help them continue the absolutely vital work they do in the Forth Valley and beyond.
