NEWS

Next up for The Bairns is a return to Scottish Cup action with a trip to Celtic Park on Saturday night.

Kick-off is at 7.30pm on Saturday the third of April.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The last time the sides met was in the 2011/12 season. A fantastic League Cup run from the Bairns saw them knock out Rangers and Dundee United on the way to a semi-final meeting with the Glasgow side. Scott Brown’s penalty put Celtic in the lead, but Jay Fulton got the equaliser for The Bairns. The Falkirk fans dreamed of an upset, but two second half goals from Anthony Stokes sent Celtic into the final.

FORM GUIDE

The Bairns remain undefeated since the restart and are four points clear, despite dropping points at home to Dumbarton on Tuesday night. They go into this game after a good victory over Arbroath in the previous round, with Kai Fotheringham’s late goal taking his team past the Championship side and into the next round.

Celtic’s last games saw them draw 1-1 with Rangers, a result that means the Scottish Cup is The Hoops last chance to earn silverware this season. In their last five games they have got two wins, two draws, and a loss to John Hughes’ Ross County.
