Next up for The Bairns is a return to league action as we take on Airdrieonians away from home.
Kick-off is at 7.00pm at the Excelsior Stadium tomorrow night.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
The Bairns have struggled against tomorrow’s hosts since being relegated to League One. Last season’s meetings saw two draws and a win for the North Lanarkshire side, while the one fixture so far this season was a first loss in the league for Falkirk, with Airdrieonians winning 0-1 at The Falkirk Stadium.
FORM GUIDE
The Bairns have earned seven points from three league games since the restart. Good wins against Montrose and Forfar Athletic were followed by a disappointing draw against Dumbarton a week ago. Anton Dowds pulled one back after going a goal down, but Lee Miller and David McCracken’s side couldn’t find the elusive winner. Despite the dropped points Falkirk remain four points clear at the top of the Scottish League One table. Airdrieonians have been in poor form since the restart. A 1-0 defeat to Peterhead and a 4-2 loss against Partick Thistle both saw The Diamonds go a man down, before losing to Cove Rangers 2-0. Last Thursday was a welcome win for Ian Murray’s side, with a late goal sealing three points against Dumbarton.
