Next up for Falkirk is a Scottish League One fixture against Clyde this weekend.

Kick-off is on Saturday at 3.00pm

Clyde proved a bogey team for The Bairns last season, winning all three encounters between the teams in the previous campaign.  This year has seen better results for The Bairns against the Bully Wee, with two Falkirk victories in the two games so far.

The first time the clubs came together this season was in the Betfred Cup group stages. Aidan Keena opened the scoring before David Goodwillie evened things up less than five minutes later. Callumn Morrison secured three points for Falkirk with a penalty just before the break.

The two teams last played in the league back in December. Charlie Telfer put Falkirk up after half an hour before Scott Mercer and Ben Hall confirmed the victory with two goals in five minutes shortly before the hour mark.

Despite a run of poor results against Airdrieonians and Dumbarton over the last two matchdays, Falkirk remain top of the Scottish League One table. With Saturday marking the final home game for The Bairns ahead of the split, Lee Miller and David McCracken’s side will be looking to turn their form around for the final two away days, against title challengers Cove Rangers and Peterhead.

Saturday’s visitors have been the team struck hardest by League One’s intense fixture schedule so far, having played seven times across league and cup since the 20th of March. Their league form has been mixed, with five points in the last five, but they did well to come from behind to draw with second placed Cove Rangers on Tuesday night. All eyes will be on Broadwood tonight, where Clyde take on Forfar Athletic in the next stage of their gruelling end to the season.
