Next up for The Bairns is a top of the table clash with second place Cove Rangers!
Kick-off this Saturday is at 12pm, following yesterday’s SPFL announcement.
The previous meeting between the two teams this season was at The Falkirk Stadium back in November. The teams went in goalless at the break, but Falkirk definitely looked the more threatening of the sides. Three minutes after half time they proved that assessment right as they took the lead in the match. Anton Dowds did terrifically well on the right flank and played a fantastic cross across, and Callumn Morrison was there to convert, netting his third goal in two games. Falkirk really turned on the motors after taking the lead and never looked back, with Anton Dowds’ strike hitting the post in the best of the plentiful second half chances.
Falkirk got back to winning ways after a few disappointing results on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Clyde. Ben Hall scored a first half opener, before Aidan Keena got his first goal since coming back from injury to make it two. The Bully Wee pulled one back late on, but The Bairns saw out the last five minutes to get the three points.
Saturday’s hosts have gained nine points in their last five Scottish League One fixtures. It took a controversial goal to get them a narrow win over Dumbarton on Saturday, and a Clyde equaliser two minutes after Cove took the lead saw them drop two points last Tuesday.
The game will be streamed live by Cove Rangers TV, you can purchase PPV for this game from their club website here.
