Next up for The Bairns is another away day as we take on Clyde at Broadwood.
Kick off is at 3pm, Saturday 30th October.
HEAD TO HEAD
Falkirk and Clyde are two sides who have seen plenty of each other over the years, meeting 190 times in competitive competition. Not much separates the two over those 190 matches, with Falkirk having won 82 and lost 69.
The Bully Wee made life difficult for The Bairns in our first season down in League One two years ago, winning all three encounters before the season came to an early end due to COVID-19. Since the resumption of the football, Falkirk have managed to turn the tide against Clyde and have won the previous four meetings, the last one being a convincing three-nil win at the Falkirk Stadium back in August.
FORM GUIDE
Danny Lennon’s men aren’t on the best run of form right now with only one win in their last six league matches, that win coming against East Fife who are bottom of the league. Clyde will be looking to bounce back following a five-nil demolishing at the hands of Montrose and a three-nil defeat to Cove Rangers on Saturday.
Clyde currently sit 9th in the table with 11 points.
The Bairns’ current form isn’t much better with just one win in eight in all competitions, their win also coming against East Fife. Falkirk suffered a heavy defeat to Airdrieonians the Saturday before last and travelled up to Peterhead last Saturday to try and turn things around. Despite a good performance, however, Paul Sheerin’s men couldn’t convert the many chances they created and left Balmoor with a frustrating point.
Falkirk will be looking to extend their winning streak over Clyde to five this weekend to turn around form that sees them sitting fifth in the league table on 15 points.
