Following an initial round of investment from the Patrons Group, and the successful launch of Falkirk Supporters’ Society, Falkirk Football Club is pleased to announce that five new Directors will be appointed at the next Board Meeting and will join the club’s Board with effect from 7th December.
Kenny Jamieson and Keith Gourlay will join the Board as representatives of the Patrons Group; over 20 Falkirk supporters who recently made a significant six-figure investment in the club. Kenny and Keith were elected by Patrons’ Group members.
Nigel Serafini and David White will also join the Board following the AGM as interim representatives of Falkirk Supporters’ Society, which launched last week and already has well over a hundred members contributing upwards of £10 a month. This money will be invested in the club and increase the pot of shares held collectively by the organisation and its members. Nigel and David were selected from an initial shortlist of six Falkirk fans who are senior professionals, all possessing the skills and experience to add real value in the boardroom and establish the supporter-director roles. The two interim director positions will last until the end of the season, at which time FSS members will be balloted to elect their successors.
Current Company Secretary Ronnie Bateman will also join the Board.
Further details about the new structure of the club’s Board will be announced to shareholders at the AGM on Monday 6th December 2021.
