Next up for the Bairns is a trip to Bayview as we take on East Fife in cinch League One.
Kick off is at 3pm, Saturday 18th December.
HEAD TO HEAD
Since the formation of East Fife in 1903, we have faced the Methil side competitively on 80 occasions. Across the course of these 80 fixtures, the record has been pretty even with The Bairns winning just 31 times, slightly edging East Fife who have 29 wins to their name.
Only one of those wins have come recently however as the Fife outfit had – prior to January this year – failed to register a win against Falkirk in 25 years.
The last meeting between the two was back in October as the Fifers came to the Falkirk Stadium. The visitors took the lead after 20 minutes through Kieran Millar, giving the Bairns a hill to climb. Falkirk managed to get the equaliser on the hour mark thanks to a Michael Ruth goal before the Bairns grabbed the win with 15 minutes left to play when Aidan Keena headed home a pinpoint Craig McGuffie cross.
FORM GUIDE
East Fife have struggled this season, only having won three times in the league and come to the Falkirk Stadium on Saturday without a win in their last six. They currently sit bottom of the table on 13 points.
The Bairns’ recent record doesn’t make for much better viewing having lost their last four games, three of those defeats coming against three of the top four teams in the league table. Falkirk maintain fifth spot in the league on 22 points.
