Our previous five meetings with Dumbarton have ended in victory for The Bairns on three occasions with the other results being one draw and one loss. The previous fixture was The Bairns’ biggest win of the season as they ran out 6-2 winners at The Falkirk Stadium in what has been the highest scoring cinch League One match so far this season.

The last time Falkirk visited Dumbarton also ended in victory for Falkirk after a dominating display that saw them win by three goals to nil.

Our hosts on Saturday are without a win in their last four matches and are going into Saturday’s game off the back of four straight defeats.

Stephen Farrell’s team sit second bottom of the table in 9th place on 26 points, just 3 points ahead of bottom placed East Fife.

The Bairns have struggled to put consecutive wins on the board recently. Having gone three games without defeat, Martin Rennie’s men suffered a heavy defeat last Saturday as high flying Airdrieonians put four past the home team. A late consolation goal from Leigh Griffiths wasn’t enough as the visitors convincingly took all three points.

Falkirk remain unmoved from fifth spot in the standings with 37 points, now six behind a play-off position.
