Falkirk Supporters’ Society members will have the opportunity to elect a director to the club’s board in July.
Elections for the position currently held by Nigel Serafini will be open to all Bairns who are FSS members on 10 July.
Members can nominate themselves between 11 and 15 July. Voting will take place electronically from 18 to 22 July, with the successful candidate named on 25 July in time for the new season.
Candidates should have relevant business and leadership skills and experience, be committed to representing Falkirk fans’ interests, and be able to devote at least 15-20 hours a week to the role. More detail on the necessary skills, experience and commitment will follow before the nomination window.
“It’s not a part-time job” said FSS director Doug Moodie, who was elected by FSS members to the board in March following David White’s resignation. “The scale of rebuild required at our club means that any new director will need to commit their energy and expertise consistently, and way beyond attending board meetings and matchday duties.”
Nigel was appointed as an interim fans’ director by the FSS committee in December 2021 following the resignation of several of the previous board. He is entitled to stand for re-election.
All FSS members will receive an email on 11 July explaining how to nominate themselves for election, and again on 17 July with ballot instructions. If you don’t receive an email, please check your junk and promotions folders, or contact email@example.com
