MATCH-DAY GUIDE: FALKIRK V MONTROSE
Kick-off is at 3pm, Saturday 30th July.
The Bairns look to carry their impressive pre-season form into the league campaign. John McGlynn’s men topped their Premier Sports Cup group, playing four, winning two and drawing two, picking up two bonus points from penalty shootouts and only conceding one goal in the process.
Montrose will be looking to forget about their Premier Sports Cup form and start their league campaign off with a win having lost their previous three matches and finishing third in their group. Montrose have reached the Championship play-offs in consecutive seasons and will be looking to make them again this season.
Tomorrow we are raising funds for The British Heart Foundation. Around 700,000 people in Scotland are living with heart and circulatory diseases. The charity funds life saving research. The group collecting tomorrow includes Andrew Niven, who had a sudden unexplained cardiac arrest last year. He was extremely lucky and a defibrillator was nearby which together with CPR saved his life. He now has an internal defibrillator, without the British Heart Foundation it’s unlikely he would be shaking his bucket here tomorrow. Please support if you can, every penny counts.
