NEXT UP: CLYDE
Kick off is at 3pm, Saturday 1st October.
Falkirk return to cinch League One action following a successful Friday night performance that saw them beat high-flying Championship leaders Partick thistle by two goals to nil to progress to the next round of the SPFL Trust Trophy.
Clyde are our opponents on Saturday for the 196th meeting between the two sides – a fixture that Falkirk have won 85 times. Our last 10 meetings with the North Lanarkshire sides have seen us victorious on six occasions and our opponents three.
Danny Lennon’s men are also fresh from a win in the SPFL Trust Trophy following a one-nil win over Welsh side Caernarfon but it is their first win in five in all competitions. The Bully Wee started their league campaign strongly with two wins and a draw but have suffered defeat in each of their last four games, leaving them eighth in the league standings on seven points.
Falkirk picked up their first win since losing to Kelty Hearts at the start of the month. An excellent performance against Rivals Dunfermline followed to set the squad up for a dominant display against the current Championship leaders. The Bairns currently find themselves sixth in the league on 11 points, just four behind leaders Dunfermline.
