NEXT UP: PETERHEAD

Next up for The Bairns is a trip to Balmoor as we take on Peterhead in cinch League One.

Kick-off is at 3pm on Saturday 8th October.

Falkirk are back on the road this weekend after playing two games in a row at The Falkirk Stadium as we face Peterhead for the second time this season.

Our first game against The Blue Toon this campaign was back in August on matchday three and saw John McGlynn earn his first league win of the 2022/23 season. IT was a dominant display as Falkirk came from behind to win by three goals to one after strikes from Callumn Morrison and Gary Oliver followed a Goal of the Season contender from Ryan Williamson.

Jim McInally’s team find themselves bottom of the table following a miserable start to the season that saw them go six games without a win, losing five. Peterhead finally won their first game two weeks ago when they beat Kelty Hearts despite going down to ten men but it wasn’t enough to lift them off bottom spot where they remain two points adrift of Kelty Hearts and Clyde.

Meanwhile, The Bairns have been heading in the opposite direction. Captain Stephen McGinn helped his team ease to victory with a brace, seeing Falkirk climb to fourth, just two points behind league leaders Dunfermline who drew two-each with our hosts this weekend.
