NEXT UP: AIRDRIEONIANS
Kick off is at 3pm, Saturday 3rd December.
This Saturday we go head to head with Airdrieonians for the second time this season.
Last time the two sides met was back in August where The Bairns suffered a heavy defeat at the Excelsior in matchday two.
Since then Falkirk have moved up the table while Airdrie have slipped down to sixth.
Falkirk go into Saturday’s game on the back of a comprehensive 6-0 win against Wick Academy in the third round of the Scottish Cup. John McGlynn’s squad are without a defeat in three and will be looking to close the gap to league leaders Dunfermline. Falkirk currently sit second in the table on 28 points, seven behind Dunfermline and level on points with third placed FC Edinburgh.
Airdrieonians’ form has picked up following an October schedule that saw them pick up just four points from six games. Wins against Montrose, Clyde and Kelty Hearts turned their form around and, despite being sixth in the standings, they remain just three points behind Falkirk who occupy second. The Diamonds suffered a heavy defeat at the weekend when they travelled to Dundee in the Scottish Cup. It looked to be an even game with the score at two each after 90 minutes but one red card and 30 minutes of extra time later and Dundee had sealed their spot in the next round after a 6-2 rout.
