ARCHIE MEEKISON JOINS THE BAIRNS
The 20-year-old midfielder is a graduate of the Dundee United youth academy and has made nine appearances for the Arab’s first team this season, seven of which have come in the Scottish Premiership.
He has played 17 times for United in previous campaigns and had a loan spell with Cove Rangers in the Covid-19 shortened 2019/20 season that saw the Aberdeenshire side promoted to League One. He is also a current Scotland under-21 international.
Archie joined up with the rest of the Bairns squad this morning for his first training session with the club. He will wear number eight for the remainder of this season.
Falkirk Manager John McGlynn said of his latest loan signing:
“Archie is a talented central midfield player and a current under-21 internationalist with Scotland. He has had good experience in the cinch Premiership and comes from a great academy at Dundee United. He can play any position across the midfield, including wide, and he is here to help us and for us to help him, and hopefully make him a better player going back to Dundee United.
“I would like to thank Tony Asghar, Liam Fox and Brian Grant for all their help in making this move possible.”
