The Bairns travel to Ayrshire to take on Darvel in the Fifth Round of the Scottish Cup. Our Matchday Guide covers all the relevant information for the fixture.

There are just 45 tickets remaining for this fixture. You can purchase yours in the Club Shop or over the phone by calling 01324 624121.

The Club Shop is open until 4pm today and 9.30am – 4pm Friday and Monday for collections. There will be no collections available at Darvel.

On the day, Irvinebank Road will be closed 90 minutes before kick-off. The road will remain closed throughout the match and will not re-open until approximately 45 minutes to one hour after the final whistle, depending on activities outside Recreation Park.


There are three wide access car parking bays for use by supporters with a disability at Recreation Park. These bays will be reserved for home supporters who may book these in advance of the match. Falkirk supporters with a disability who are attending Recreation Park are requested to access vie Murdoch Road and Causeway Road and Stewards will be on hand to assist with the safe access to a designated area in the away fans end. Stewards will be on hand to assist with the safe egress for both home and away fans who require assistance.

Falkirk fans should take the M77, A77, A719 and A71 to Darvel then go straight ahead for approximately 500 metres along West Main Street, and take a left turn for approximately 500 metres along Jamieson Road and then turn right onto East Campbell Street, where Falkirk supporters coaches and minibuses are requested to park in the Gavin Hamilton Sports Centre and East Campbell Street.

Please note, all fans are requested to follow the temporary signage to reach Recreation Park.

Falkirk supporters should then travel by foot to Recreation Park via East Campbell Street, Jamieson Road, East Donington Street, Kirkland Road, East Main Street, Murdoch Road and Causeway Road to access the ground and Darvel Supporters via Irvinebank Road, to access the ground. 

Please note: SIA Stewards will be checking match tickets on the approach to Recreation Park.  Please ensure you have your ticket with you as anyone without a ticket will not be admitted to the ground.

The use of pyrotechnics inside and outside Recreation Park is strictly prohibited. The throwing of any objects is strictly prohibited.


Stewards and Police will search all bags before entry to the ground for prohibited items such as alcohol and pyrotechnics.  We would advise any supporters attending not to take a bag to the match unless it is essential.  If you don’t need your bag, don’t take it.

Flags are permitted if they conform to the ground regulations. Surfing of flags is prohibited. Flags must not be draped over advertising boards. There will be limited room to display flags.

Furthermore, bottles will not be permitted.

Supporters are advised to routinely check the Transport and Traffic Scotland websites for live updates; and  and listen to traffic updates on the radio as you travel and plan to arrive at the stadium in plenty of time.


It should be noted by anyone attending the match that the area of the ground allocated to Falkirk supporters is completely uncovered and therefore supporters are strongly advised to dress according to the likely weather conditions. Those attending are further advised that umbrellas will not be allowed into the ground.

Falkirk supporters will be accommodated at the East section of the ground.

Darvel supporters will be accommodated at the North, South and West sections of the ground. Please note for the temporary terrace, which holds 600 Darvel fans, lanyards will be provided to those who have paid for the terrace and these must be worn at all times.

Gates will open at 6.15pm.

Falkirk supporters will access the ground via turnstiles 5 and 6 (Murdoch Road and Causeway Road).

Darvel supporters will access the ground via turnstiles 1, 2, 3 and 4 (Irvinebank Road).

We request that you please arrive as early as possible to ensure that you can safely access the ground before kick-off at 7.45pm.

  • There is no smoking permitted in the stadium.
  • All gates are cashless.

All supporters are asked to note that Police and Steward Check points will be in operation on East Main Street, Irvinebank Road and Causeway Road prior to the match.

For the safety and convenience of all supporters attending the match, Darvel Football Club requests that all supporters have the utmost regard to public safety and refrain from encroaching onto the playing surface unless instructed to do so in an emergency.
