SCOTTISH CUP SEMI-FINAL SUPPORTERS UPDATE
Ticket pricing
Ticket pricing for the semi-final stage of the Scottish Cup is set centrally by the Scottish FA. It is a requirement for both fixtures to be priced equally and factors such as demand for tickets, the prestige of the tournament and pricing of previous semi-finals are considered before prices are confirmed. All ticket sales are shared equally between the 4 semi-finalists, which is another factor which must be taken into consideration. The club is aware that the pricing may make it expensive for supporters and we will therefore do our best to mitigate this by providing some possible solutions, which we have detailed below.
Ticket sale
The club expects to receive the tickets from the Scottish FA next week with a view to putting the tickets on sale toward the end of that week. Tickets will be on sale to Falkirk supporters for sections within the North Stand, West Stand and South Stand with additional sections in those stands released as and when ticket sales for those sections sell out.
We will announce details on when and how to purchase as soon as we receive the tickets from the Scottish FA.
500 Bairns for a Fiver
The club is delighted to announce that we will be providing discounted travel to and from Hampden Park for Falkirk supporters. The club is fully aware that the ticket pricing for the semi-final is a significant increase on a standard match ticket and this, therefore, may place an additional financial pressure on our supporters, some of whom may already be struggling with the cost of living crisis. We want to see as many Bairns at Hampden as possible and we certainly don’t want people to miss out due to the costs associated so we are taking 500 Bairns to Hampden for a FIVER.
The club has buses booked to help take fans to Hampden with return transport to and from Hampden for £5 per adult and FREE for Under 12s. A pre match event will take place at the Beancross Hotel, with breakfast rolls provided FREE of charge to everyone who travels on the buses helping to make the day more affordable.
More details to follow in due course, so keep your eyes on the club’s official website and social media channels.
Singing Section
Additionally, the club is also working with several groups of supporters to help to create a singing section for Falkirk supporters at Hampden Park. The club will set aside an initial 500 tickets at the front of sections B7 and B8, with tickets available to anyone who wishes to help crank up the atmosphere at Hampden.
Pay it Forward
Some supporters have contacted the club requesting a pay it forward scheme to help supporters obtain a ticket, who may be struggling to purchase one due to personal circumstances or because of the cost of living crisis. If you wish to pay for a ticket(s) for someone who may be unable to afford one, you will be able to do so when tickets go on sale.
The club will work with our partners The Falkirk Foundation to ensure any donated tickets reach those who are most in need of the support.
Group bookings
If you wish to purchase tickets as a large group (20+) please contact laura@falkirkfc.co.uk to allow us to set tickets aside for you.
Disabled and carer tickets
The club can confirm that tickets for disabled access and carers will be available to purchase for both the south and north stands at Hampden Park. These tickets will go on sale along with all Falkirk FC tickets as soon as we are able to do so.
Thank you
On behalf of the club, the management team and the players, thank you for the fantastic support in the quarter final. There is no doubt the atmosphere and backing the players received on the night helped the to create a memorable night and secured our return to Hampden.
