NEXT UP: CLYDE
Kick off is at 3pm, Saturday 1st April.
This Saturday we face Clyde for the final time this season. From our previous three cinch League One meetings with The Bully Wee this season, The Bairns have taken seven points, with two wins and a draw.
The last time we travelled to New Douglas Park, Clyde’s temporary home this season, we were thrown into a rollercoaster ride of a match where six goals were shared between the two sides. The last meeting was at The Falkirk Stadium back in January and it proved to be another exciting game. This time, The Bairns were dominant, score four goals without answer in a match that saw both teams go down to 10 men.
Our hosts this weekend sit ninth in the league standings having won just three league games all season. Despite this stat, they remain three points clear of bottom placed Peterhead.
The Bairns, despite the impressive achievement of making it to the Semi-Finals of the Scottish Cup, have experienced a dip in their league form recently and are without a win, or a goal, in three league games. Last Friday’s draw against Kelty Hearts means Falkirk are now 11 points behind the league leaders and just four ahead of third placed Alloa Athletic, however The Bairns have a game in hand.
