CRAIG MCGUFFIE WINS SPFL GOAL OF THE MONTH AWARD

Craig McGuffie received the SPFL Goal of the Month award this week following his stunning effort against Peterhead at the beginning of March.

The winger’s goal of the year contender was just one goal in his sensational 14 minute hat-trick after coming off the bench. Just a few minutes after entering the field of play, the Peterhead goalkeeper took a free-kick from outside his box, unfortunately slipping as he made contact. The ball went straight to McGuffie who controlled the ball on his chest before hitting it on the half-volley from his own half and into the net over the head of the helpless keeper.

Craig is the second Falkirk player to win SPFL Goal of the Month this season after Leon McCann picked up the award for his Messi-like solo goal against FC Edinburgh back in November.
