We regret to inform you that John Wright has decided to step down from the Board of Falkirk Football Club with immediate effect, for personal and family reasons.

John joined the Board last November, having been elected by Falkirk Supporters’ Society as their second representative, alongside Nigel Serafini.

Prior to his appointment John led a full review of the club’s IT needs, processes and infrastructure, and since November has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to execute many significant IT-related improvements at the club. John has also brought a wealth of experience to contribute more widely, and always in a considered and constructive manner, to all Board decisions.

It has been a real pleasure to work with John and we’d like to thank him for his contribution to Falkirk FC and wish him well in the future.

John Wright said:

“It has been an absolute privilege to be a Board member of the club I have supported all my life. I should like to thank my colleagues on the Board for their support and for the tremendous work they do, day in and day out, for our club.  They continue to have my full support and I should like to wish them and our club every success in the future.  I also wish to thank our Chief Executive, Jamie Swinney and our club’s loyal staff for all their support and hard work.

I plan to continue my membership of the Falkirk Supporters’ Society who have done such a fantastic job in growing the membership to its present numbers. I shall continue to attend matches as a Season Ticket holder and as a loyal fan and look forward to seeing our club back in the Premiership where it belongs. Once a Bairn….”

We will work with FSS over the next few days to arrange a process and timeline for replacing John.
