SINGING SECTION PILOT
As a fan-owned club, and with the Falkirk Supporters’ Society now our largest shareholder, we are committed to listening to ideas and giving fans the chance to influence how the club operates.
We are also committed to being open and transparent with supporters. On July 6th we organised a consultation evening to explore ways in which fans could improve the atmosphere in the stadium, thereby improving the matchday experience and hopefully giving our team a competitive advantage.
Since then, we have worked closely with a group of committed supporters and have agreed to pilot a ‘singing section’ in the Kevin McAllister Stand. The pilot will start with the Dundee United game tomorrow, then continue for the Peterhead match and the first league game of the season versus Annan Athletic. Several ideas will be tested including the following.
- Dedicating section E of the KM Stand as an ‘Official Singing Section’.
- Playing ‘Local Hero’ at kick-off to encourage supporters to sing when the match starts.
- A few player-specific goal songs.
- The use of a drum.
The singing section is open to all supporters, so if you wish to participate, please make your way to Section E in the Kevin McAllister Stand at any of the next three home games.
Following the trial, the club will review feedback from fans to allow us to shape the future of the matchday experience at The Falkirk Stadium. It will be important to hear from supporters of all demographics, so if you wish to provide feedback after the trial games, please email board@falkirkfc.co.uk or provide feedback directly to the Falkirk Supporters’ Society.
Thank you for the tremendous backing you continue to give our football club.
