RIP FRANK HULETT

Everyone at Falkirk Football Club was devastated to hear of the death of Frank Hulett at the weekend.

Frank was the pioneer in statistical research relating to Falkirk F.C. and along with his son Andrew produced various pamphlets on the club including an encyclopaedic guide to Falkirk programmes. This was most impressive, coming as it did in the days before online research made such tasks much easier.

It became “the Bible” for aficionados and reflected Frank’s passion for collecting programmes. His personal collection of Bairns programmes was unequalled and he was a well-known figure at programme sales and auctions, whether in person or online. Frank’s work enabled many supporters to build collections, and also helped settle many pub arguments.

With the advent of the internet, Frank and Andrew developed the website Better Meddle which became the definitive source for information on their beloved club.

Frank was always willing to help other supporters build up their collections. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and especially those who shared his passion for collecting programmes.

All our thoughts are with Frank’s family and his many, many friends.
