Next up for The Bairns is a return to cinch League 1 action as we host Queen of the South at The Falkirk Stadium this Saturday.

Falkirk return to action after a week and a half without a game this Saturday looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season in all competitions. Last Tuesday, The Bairns progressed to the last 16 of the SPFL Trust Trophy following a comfortable one-nil win against Ayr United at Somerset Park.

In cinch League 1, Falkirk are aiming to extend their winning streak to four games. They kept their momentum going with a convincing win against Edinburgh City in the capital last weekend. Alfredo Agyeman and Callumn Morrison scored the only goals of the game in a victory that could easily have seen Falkirk score five or six. As it stands, Falkirk sit at the top of the table on goal difference, level on points with Hamilton Academical on 13.

Queen of the South looked to be building some momentum of their own after an opening day loss to Alloa Athletic at Palmerston, winning their following three games against Edinburgh City, Annan Athletic and Cove Rangers. Their winning run was put to a stop by Montrose though, who came out on top in a five goal thriller in Dumfries. Their current form means they sit fourth in the standings on nine points. The Doonhamers are going into this weekend’s game on the back of a very good win, however, having beaten Partick Thistle in the SPFL Trust Trophy thanks to a late winner from Efe Ambrose.
