FOOTBALL TRUST CELEBRATES NATIONAL SPORTING HERITAGE DAY 2023
The event will take place in the recently refurbished hospitality lounges in the Main Stand.
The Trust have designed and erected panels in the stand to completely refresh the Alex Parker, 1957, International and Captain’s Lounges.
The impressive displays are part of the Trust’s ongoing plans to decorate the remaining areas in the stand, including a complete redesign of the Heritage Trail on the ground floor.
The Trust are members of Sporting Heritage UK and have received funding to support their work in digitising the club’s minute books, some of which are now available online for supporters to consult.
As part of the Open Afternoon, there will be an illustrated presentation of “The Story of the Falkirk Bairns” in the Alex Parker Lounge at 3.00 pm.
Supporters will also be able to order a signed copy of the limited edition first volume of The Official History of Falkirk Football Club from its foundation up to season 1968-69. This will become a two-volume edition with the second being published in time to mark the 150th anniversary of the club’s establishment. Both volumes will be presented in a special souvenir box, the first volume should be on sale within the next few weeks.
The open afternoon will also provide supporters with an opportunity to purchase Falkirk F.C. programmes, including finals and semi-finals, as well as memorabilia from the Trust and the club itself.
All fans are welcome, and we look forward to seeing you on the day.
