Next up for The Bairns is a trip to the borders as we take on Queen of the South at Palmerston.

Kick-off is at 3pm, Saturday 4th November.

The Bairns get ready to play Queen of the South for the second time this season as they look to go 15 games unbeaten in all competitions this season.

Falkirk carried on their excellent form at the weekend, putting three unanswered goals past a lacklustre Alloa Athletic side. The Bairns got off to a great start, with Alfredo Agyeman putting the home side a goal up after just three minutes, heading home from Calvin Miller’s cross. The Ghanaian forward had the ball in the net again in the 23rd minute from another set-piece, receiving a knock down from Liam Henderson at the back post to tap the ball in the net. The pick of the bunch came in the 39th minute when centre-half and Falkirk captain Coll Donaldson tried his luck from outside the box with a rocket of a strike that found the top corner. An early Goal of the Season contender if you ever saw one.

Falkirk’s form sees them sit atop the cinch League 1 table with 29 points, two clear of title rivals Hamilton.

Prior to the weekend, Alloa had only managed one win in six in all competitions, but looked to have begun to turn their form around with a 3-1 against Kelty Hearts. Falkirk’s dominant performance denied them back-to-back wins though, and Alloa’s poor form means they sit eighth in the league with just 11 points.
