Next up for the Bairns is another away trip. This weekend we travel down to Dumfries to take on Queen of the South, with all the action live on BBC Alba.

Kick-off is at 5:30pm, Saturday 16th March.

The Bairns prepare for their third consecutive away day in cinch League 1, looking to keep their unbeaten run going.

Falkirk remain the only unbeaten team in the country this season, having not lost in league action since last season. They go into Saturday’s game following on from two important wins away against Cove Rangers and Stirling Albion. The trip to Forthbank last weekend was a difficult one and Falkirk left it late to grab all three points. It was the visitors who opened the scoring after eight minutes when Stirling captain Paul McLean capitalised on a series of rebounds in the box. The lead didn’t last long though and top scorer Callumn Morrison struck nine minutes later to level the scores. With the clock ticking closer to the last of the 90 minutes, it looked as if Stirling would see the game out for a draw, earning a valuable point. Substitute Gary Oliver had other ideas though as he found himself on the end of a knockdown from Ross MacIver and volleyed the ball home to steal the win for Falkirk. The win made it 30 league games unbeaten and kept the gap to second placed Hamilton at 17 points.

Queen of the South’s form has been the opposite. The Doonhamers are without a win in their last six league games and have registered just two wins in 10.

They now find themselves eighth in the League 1 table just four points ahead of Annan Athletic in ninth place.
