We welcomed our Charity Partners JDRF to our game against Kelty Hearts on the 20th of April with their band of volunteer bucket collectors.

The Falkirk fans helped JDRF raise an incredible £1577 to support their work. We also presented our partners with a customed JDRF signed shirt which we will be auctioning off in June.

JDRF is the world’s leading type 1 diabetes charity, funding research to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes and providing information and support for everyone living with the condition, at all stages from diagnosis and beyond.

Carol Kennedy, Senior Fundraiser for JDRF, said:

“We are grateful to the commitment of our long time JDRF supporter Richard Logan, the club, and fans for their support of JDRF.

“As a charity we rely on fundraising into helping us on our mission to find a cure so we can put an end to type 1 diabetes once and for all. Ever since insulin was first discovered a century ago, research and technology has evolved, and we are committed to finding a cure.”

Paddy Hainey, Commercial Executive at Falkirk Football Club, added:

“As a club, we are privileged to work with a range of charity partners, who make significant positive contributions to our community. The sum of money raised for JDRF is testament to the generosity of the Falkirk support, and we are looking forward to continuing our partnership going forward.”
