Congratulations to John McGlynn who has been names Glen’s Vodka SPFL League 1 Manager of the Season.

John picks the award up following a record breaking season for the Bairns in which he and Assistant Manager Paul Smith masterminded an invincible league campaign.

The Falkirk boss was deservedly awarded the PFA Scotland Manager of the Year award and was also named Manager of the Month six times throughout the 2023/24 season, a campaign in which Falkirk won 27 of their 28 games, drawing nine.

The Bairns have broken a number of club records over the past year, including:

  • Falkirk’s longest unbeaten league run – 27.
  • Falkirk’s longest unbeaten run in all competitions – 24.
  • Highest points total in a season.

John McGlynn’s side also finished the season as top scorers in the SPFL with 96 league goals, as well as having the joint fourth best defensive record across all four professional leagues.

John commented on winning the award:

“I’m delighted to win this award, it’s been a phenomenal season and it’s really been a team effort. This award belongs to the Assistant Manager Paul Smith, all the coaching staff, all the backroom staff, and of course, all the players who have gone above and beyond this season reaching invincible status, they really have been incredible. Everyone has played their part, including the fans who have backed us tremendously all season. They’ve been a big factor in our success this season.

Once again, really pleased and grateful to receive this award and hopefully we can continue our success into the Championship next season.”

Congratulations, John!
