Falkirk Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Jamie Sneddon on a two-year deal.

The 26-year-old joins the Bairns following the conclusion of his contract with Partick Thistle, where he has spent the last seven years.

Jamie made 170 appearances for the Jags, keeping 47 clean sheets and even scoring on one occasion.

He joins his third senior club having spent the first three years of his senior career with Cowdenbeath where he made 30 appearances. Prior to joining Cowdenbeath, Jamie spent seven years in the Heart of Midlothian youth academy.

Assistant Manager Paul Smith commented on signing Jamie:

“I’m delighted we’ve been able to sign Jamie, especially given he had offers from other clubs. He’s played a lot of games for Partick Thistle, mostly in the Championship, so we know he’s coming to us with a lot of experience.

“There will be good competition now between Jamie and Nicky, who’ll compete for that position. Jamie did have an injury from February onwards but he’s fully fit now and ready to go for pre-season, which starts this Friday.”
